Cedar Creek Elementary third-graders bring history to life

Third-grade students at Cedar Creek Elementary spent the day learning about day-to-day life in Colonial times as part of Living History Day, held May 16. The morning included a wax museum session with students and teachers dressed in Colonial garb. Each student also gave a short speech about a Colonial trade.

During the afternoon, the students played Colonial games and took part in activities from this time period. Rotating through eight parent-run stations, they completed tasks such as dipping candles, playing hopscotch, making butter, creating a yarn doll and writing with a quill.
