LSR7 Shares Mask Information
Since the beginning of this school year, a Board of Education-approved indoor mask mandate has been in place at all of our school sites. The Board of Education considered at its regularly scheduled meeting on Nov. 18 whether to extend, change or let expire the district’s mask requirements.
- Masks will be required for all students, staff and visitors at our pre-K and elementary school buildings through Dec. 21.
- Masks will be optional for all students, staff and visitors at all other district facilities starting Friday, Nov. 19.
- The Miller Park Center school community will receive specific information about mask requirements as a building that serves multiple grade levels.
- Masks will continue to be required for all students on LSR7 buses per federal requirements.
The Board of Education approved the district’s recommendation to continue mask requirements for pre-K and elementary buildings until winter break so that elementary families who have chosen to seek vaccinations for their 5-11-years-olds have time for their child to become fully vaccinated.
As a reminder, all staff and students who are fully vaccinated are not required to stay home from school when they are exposed to a COVID-19+ individual unless they are showing symptoms of the virus. As of this month, all individuals who are 5 years old and older are able to access vaccinations.
