LSR7 Theater Students Earn Recognition

Theater students across Lee’s Summit R-7 Schools earned recognition in the Kansas City Cappies program. With Lee’s Summit High School and Lee’s Summit West High School participating in the Cappies program, students earned nominations in a total of 16 categories.

Katelyn Johnson from Lee’s Summit High School won for comic actress in a musical, playing Baroness Bomburst in “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.”

The Cappies program promotes high school theater and journalism through partnerships in media and use of modern technologies.
