The Lee’s Summit R-7 Board of Education approved boundary adjustments for the 2019-2020 school year at their December 13, 2018, meeting. We now have detailed, street level maps available on our CFMP website (elementary boundary map and secondary boundary map) that highlight the approved changes. These maps detail the new boundary grids by street and by neighborhood. In the coming weeks, we will also have our Transfinder address look-up tool available so that families can search specific addresses for 2019-2020 school year assignments.

Lee’s Summit R-7 Board of Education approves recommendation to adjust boundaries and continue planning for Phase II work of Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan
At their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, Dec. 13, the Lee’s Summit R-7 Board of Education unanimously voted to approve boundary adjustments and move forward with Phase 2 recommendations in the Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan (CFMP) process. An additional recommendation amended the parameters to allow current 8th grade students, who have siblings in 10th or 11th grade, to submit a request to continue on to high school with their siblings.

This school year, we are engaging families, students, staff, and community members around the development of a new Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan (CFMP) for Lee’s Summit R-7 schools. During Fall 2018, we will ask community members about their priorities around short and medium-term solutions to meet current capacity needs in the district. We will also focus on our community’s long-term vision for developing learning environments that are available to all students and encourage future ready learning.
