At the December 2018 Board of Education meeting, the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District formally joined the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program in Missouri. JAG is a 35-year-old non-profit and employment program dedicated to helping at-risk young people to graduate from high school and make successful transitions to postsecondary education and meaningful employment. JAG is a voluntary in-school program that counts as a high school elective. It focuses on a set of core competencies that prepare students to succeed in the workforce.
